The wind finally graces Athens on Day 3 of 2024 ILCA Senior European Championships

On the third day of competition, the wind finally graced Athens, allowing for three races to be conducted per fleet.

The day commenced early, with the first warning signal scheduled for 09:00. However, unfortunately, the wind was scarce and shifting, leading the Race Committee to abort the attempts after several unsuccessful trials and return everyone ashore.

After a few hours of waiting at the Nautical Club of Kalamaki’s facilities, all sailors were instructed to return to the water around 12:40 for new races.

During the afternoon, the persistence of light and shifting wind conditions posed challenges for sailing.

With these three additional races factored into the scores, the following sailors have emerged as the new leaders;
